Our country Nepal is divided into 75 (Seventy five) districts (Similar to country in U.K.) Among them, Solukhumbu is one of them lying on the Himalayans, the northern part of this district is covered by hills, basins, valleys and sloppy land. Generally the climate is cold throughout the year except June and  July when the climate remain cool. The rugged and difficult land topography has made the bases of infrastructure  of development difficult.
our district Solukhumbu is divided into 34 (Thirty four) Village Development Committee (VDC) for easy access to development, for monitoring, financing, supervising and implementation of various programmer But unfortunately some of the VDC's are yet to receive there types of package and are least developed. Among such VDC,s  tapting remains the developed. Here people are deprived of all the essential facilities. the main reason for Tapting being  so backward VDC is due to lack of motor able road here.

Location of Tapting VDC 

It is a 8 (Eight) hours walk from sallery, district headquarter of Solukhumbu district. The bordering VDC,s of Tapting are Kerung , Jantyarkhani, Pattale Kerung. A Graveled road links  the southern neighboring district Okhaldhunga to Sallery, the people of Kerung , Pattale and  Janterkhani have become the beneficiaries of this main graveled road as the connecting roads are constructed to these VDC. But Tapting VDC isn't connected to motor able road yet.
In the fiscal year 2001/ 2002, there was a proposal to construct road from Kathmandu, the capital of country to Sallery, via Tapting in view of developing tourist spots but has remain pending without any action by the Government
Further   in the  District Transportation Master plan 2005/2006, a provision was kept to connect Tapting motor able road but invent. This had simply remained a paper work only. Likewise many schemes were brought by government and non- government organizations to link Tapting by motor able road but had remained on paper only without any action and practicability. Therefore the dream of the people of Tapting to avail such road to their place has been shuttered and have a hope that their  dream will come true one day sooner or later.
In this content the entire people of Taptig VDC request the government and non-government organization for the sanction. A budget to made this place accessible by road. This will  indeed become a boon and the people will be facilitated with development opportunities in all the spheres of their lives.

Dominant problems due to lack of road in Tapting VDC 

# The infrastructure of development is slow and  expensive.
# Locally produced vegetable, fruits and crops can't fetch good  price as they can't be transported to other area for export.
# Unavailability of skilled man power  in the VDC and there is a  trend that the healthy manpower goes to foreign countries for employment.
# A great effort is made to develop the physicals aspect of the VDC but is never accomplished due to lack of transportation facility.
# The VDC is unable to utilize and export medicinal herbs, generate hydro-electricity, extract minerals and develop tourism industry.

The VDC is unable to lunch any development programmers.

Advantage pf having motor able roads in the VDC. 

• Essential commodities can be availed at cheap rate as motor transport is cheaper then porter. The economic status of people, will improve when the locally grown fruits vegetables and crops can be taken and sold in neighboring districts.
• This place will become a center of tourist attraction as here lies many view points from where Mt.Everest ,Mt.Makalu Mt. Lhotse, Neptse, Merale, Numbur can be seen clearly . Besides these here are many religious places via Jhapre Monastry, Pk danda, Changesthan temple etc. That adds to the beauty of this place and brings eternal peace and satisfaction to those who visit . This will eventually  nurture the source of income for life style of people .
• Pasture land can be developed to prompted cattle rearing and diary farming .
• Golf course can be made on the barren flat land of the Mountains and its sloppy parts, which will lure people amazingly to play on such course.
• The forest of Tapting is abundantly encircled with highly valued medicinal herbs which are used in making Aryubedic medicines. Such herbs found in the area are Chiaito, Sunpati, Lot Salla, Bhirmah, pine etc. Utilization, importance of conservation and promotion of and the export of these herbs will be possible.
• As this pace is suitable for growing fruits like apples, pears, peach ect. They can be grown using modern agricultural technology and the production can be easily sold in the neighboring areas if this place has an access to road.
• Raw material for making paper is found in this area. Paper and its products can be manufactured from this materials minimizing the existing use of plastic bags which is a major source of environmental pollution.
• The physical failure and climatic condition of this place resembles with that of Darjeeling, India where a lot of tea is grown and has occupied international markets.  Such tea plantation can also be introduced here and the people will increase their source of income by selling tea in neighboring markets.
• Argeli is a species of plant which is found abundantly in this area. Its bark is one of the raw materials used in printing currency note. Relative conservation of this plant species will bring economic development to this place.
• Many cottage industries can be established and can easily run from the raw materials found in this place. Some examples are Apple juice paper factory ect.
