Want to Help?

Here are a few ways or field you can help. Chyangba being a remote village, many educated people don't like to work in the remote villages. Thus we lack well educated, serious and dedicated  people. If you are interested to spend a few months, work for the welfare of village children, you are most welcome to work for us at the scenic village of Chyangba.

TEACHER: You can work as volunteer teachers to teach English, Science, mathematics, geography, computer or even outdoor field education.

ROAD AND BRIDGES: Because Chyangba Village does not lie on the main tourist trail, road and bridges conditions are still very basic and often gets damaged during rainy season. You can also help by building roads, bridges etc. You can contribute personal physical help or send money to the village fund for road and bridges repairs.

HEALTH & SANITATION: You can work as a health and sanitation volunteer training our village people how to stay clean, cleanliness around house, staying healthy, teach physical fitness exercises, etc.

DRINKING WATER: Water supply is another important needs of the villagers. Clean drinking water is often scarce. You could contribute water pipes to bring water from the clear stream nearby.

DONATE BOOKS & EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS: Wongchu Biswa Darshan Junior High School at Chyangba Village lacks good educational materials. If you have books, magazines, drawing and coloring materials, puppets, or anything and would like to donate, we will be more than happy to accept them. Even clothes, shoes, socks, tooth brushes, soaps, etc anything that will help improve daily life of our children.

We also accept cash donations which will be utilized towards furniture repairing, salary of the teachers, or buying educational materials.

STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM: Any colleges or schools within or outside the country are free to contact us to create an student exchange program whereby creating an environment to learn and share different cultures, learning techniques, knowledge sharing, educational tours of historical places, etc.

DOCUMENTARIES: If you have an interesting documentary related to any subject which will help people of Chyangba village gain education, you are most welcome to bring and show it to the people. I Wongchu Sherpa will take care of necessary logistics.

SPONSOR A CHILD: You can also sponsor a child by giving him/her necessary educational materials, dresses, moral support, etc. This will give us a chance to offer free education to a new children.
